We support a diverse range of sporting, arts, cultural and culinary events throughout regional WA.
Regional events are important as they draw more people to the region adding extra tourism dollars and vibrancy to the local community, attract media attention which helps promote the region and they help position WA as an exciting destination to live and visit.
We provide funding for a range of regional events across Western Australia through two programs:
- Regional Events Program: for major regional events requesting funding of $40,000 or more.
- Regional Events Scheme: an annual funding round which supports smaller, developing regional events.
If you have a dream regional event that you believe meets the above outcomes and aligns with Tourism WA's Vision for Dream Events, the first step is to complete the Funding Checklist to see if you event is eligible. This process will help you understand the funding criteria and the high level of information that Tourism WA requires prior to considering support for regional events.
